Gotham FC beat Washington Spirit 2-1. The match was played at Subaru Park in Chester, PA. It was the first game since the scandal involving Paul Riley. The match also marked the 100th appearance for Caprice D'Souza. The match was moved to honor Carli Lloyd.

The Washington Spirit and Gotham FC played out a 1-1 draw on Wednesday night. In the 6th minute, the referee blew his whistle and play stopped. All players linked arms for a moment of silence in protest of the league's failings to create a safe work environment.

Gotham FC is making their final push for a playoff spot. The team's next game is on Saturday, October 9th against the Orlando Pride. The game kicks off at 7pm ET and can be streamed on Paramount+. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
